I collected some of my "The heck am I doing" doodles.
 Just to practice my hand.

The Arbiter

Alteration

When I suddenly asked a writer friend to tell me a story, that he wrote on the spot.

A man lived in a village all his life he craved something special, something unusual, something unique he could cherish.
He had a wife, but even in her arms he felt no warmth, no love.
He wanted something more.
Afterall, what was so special about getting married in a small village to a childhood sweet heart
and so he continued to work, continued to pine, went through the motions of life
all the while his wife smiled, she lay with him when he wanted, she spoke to him about his day
and the man pretended aswell they both danced the daily dance wearing their ballroom masks
until they grew old. The wife passed away, still wearing the same smile
The next day, the man found a note, a sweet poem written just for him
the man read it, never knowing his wife had liked to write poetry
it was sweet, and moved the man to tears.
He searched the house finding more and more stories and poems.
All beautiful and enrapturing, the mans elation soon turned to grief.
He had never known.
Never seen the beauty of his wifes soul
Never seen the special something, the unique something right under his nose
until the very end, when it was too late
the man lived on, reading and re-reading the poems
wishing for something special, something unique...something he lost....

The End

Author: David Trebus

Materials: graphic pen and sketch paper

Interpretation:

Its basically a person having  "Nightmares". Perspective from the dream while looking outside the persons head.

My first take on a black canvas and silver metallic pens,

I started drawing this illustration when I suddenly woke up in the middle of the night around 3ish AM, Its a girl falling while her hair flies up as gravity pulls her down. the hair was designed by different inspiration from all the elements I saw while Im doing my daily routines. I recalled the feather of a peacock and moths wings. The Sun (upper right) is also one of the big inspiration in this illustration. While listening to a classical music  I suddenly got the idea of how the flow of the music would look like in the paper.(upper left ). It was January 2015 when i started the drawing, thats why we can see a raindrops and fallen leaves in some area of the design.
